The intersection of North Broad and Callowhill Streets used to have two parking lots on the south side of Callowhill, facing each other across Broad.  Hanover Companies, of Texas, bought the lots years ago, and in 2015 started building two apartments buildings, with retail spaces on the first floor.  The development has a large six-story building on the west side of Broad Street and a smaller six-story building on the east side of Broad.  The combination of buildings has a total of 339 rental units and parking garages facing Callowhill, with entrances on Broad.

Hanover North Broad has several amenities on the second floor of the west building.  The club room has a billiards table, a large TV on the wall, comfy couches and chairs, and a kitchen.  Outside the club room is a large landscaped courtyard with a grill, a granite fireplace, tables, plush chairs and couches, granite pavers, trees, shrubs, and flowering plants.  Off the club room is a screening room, a conference room for business meetings, an e-lounge with wifi, and a fitness center.  In front is a furnished terrace for all residents facing Broad Street.  On the second floor of the east building is a terrace used by the tenants of the adjacent apartments, also facing Broad Street.  The east tower also has a courtyard with TVs and a bocci ball court.  The exterior of the buildings has dark and red colored panels and outline lighting, as well as, beige brick along the sides.

The apartment units consist of studios, starting at $1,691 and 529 square feet, one-bedroom units starting at $1,856 and 655 square feet, two-bedroom units starting at $2,644 and 1,052 square feet, and three-bedroom, two-bathroom units starting at $3,511 and 1,471 square feet.  The apartment units have Whirlpool stainless steel kitchen appliances, washers and dryers, granite and quartz countertops, built-in cabinets and desks with granite and quartz countertops, and laminate floors.

Hanover North Broad is another addition to the rapid redevelopment of North Broad Street.  It adds many new residents and the 17,000 square feet of retail spaces will add much street life to that stretch of North Broad.  If you are interested in taking a tour of the units and buildings, contact Tyler and the Rent Philly Team for a tour at
